Submission Process

  • Applications are accepted on a first-in basis.  A quotation will be released to the agency that provides the first complete submission.
  • Applications should be submitted to IIS for initial underwriting review. Complete submissions will be sent on to Indiana Insurance for final underwriting, review and quoting. Incomplete submissions will be referred back to the submitting agent for additional information.
  • Quote proposals will be sent to IIS and will forward to the submitting agent for presentation to the school district.

  • Indiana Insurance will not accept a broker of record letter from a non-appointed agency on a school district currently written through an appointed agency.

  • Sold accounts should be bound by the submitting agent, sending a binder and confirmation to IIS.
  • IIS will request policies from Indiana Insurance. IIS will review the new policies, quickly process them and send them out to the submitting agent as soon as possible.
  • IIS will forward commissions to the submitting agency within 30 days of receipt from Indiana Insurance or any other carrier.
